It is copolymerized with dihydric phenol and other aromatic dibasic acids to form a fully aryl thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer (TLCP), which can be used to prepare high-strength, high-modulus liquid crystal fibers, special engineering plastics and polymer flame retardants. It has a wide range of uses in industry. |

preparation | p-cresol (1.2mmol), cuprous iodide (0.05mmol), ligand L-II-34 (0.1mmol), potassium phosphate (2.0mmol) are added into a 10mL sealed tube, argon gas is replaced by vacuuming for 3 times, p-methylchlorobenzene (1.0mmol) and 1mL DMSO are added, and the reaction is uniformly stirred at 120 ℃ for 24 hours, after cooling, wash the contents of the sealed pipe with ethyl acetate, filter with silica gel and diatomite small column, concentrate the filtrate and column chromatography to obtain the product p-xylene ether. |
